Canyonlands is the emblem of the Gran Canaria mountain bike trails: a dance among different canyons that, from the center of the island, flow south to the ocean. We will be constantly accompanied by breathtaking views. So watch where you put your wheels!

ALTITUDE PROFILE
DESCRIPTION
We reach 1300 meters altitude thanks to the bike shuttle. After a warm up on comfortable fire road, let’s start the dance by diving on a nice single track that winds gently on a wide and scenic valley. At times fast, sometimes technical, it is a real pleasure to ride, thanks to some berms and small uphill, which keep high the rate of fun!
After a few kilometers of “dance” we reach the opposite side of the canyon, from which we left. Starting from here begins the perhaps most exciting section of the tour: a beautiful mountain ups and downs, on a fast and never too demanding trail, which allows us to enjoy film archive mountains scenarios. Care must be taken not to distract too much!
In the second part of the tour we ride with the ocean in sight. The trails now are fast and invite you to push hard on the pedals. A descent on paved road makes us regain some strength, before tackling the last trail, sometimes technical and sometimes flow, with which we gently glide towards the most southern part of the island.
The tour ends on the promenade of Meloneras, just around the corner of the sand dunes of Maspalomas, to take the edge off with a mega-ice cream or an ice-cold beer, savored in front of the ocean.
Tour starts: 9.15 am from Maspalomas area (1.2 hours of driving to reach the starting point of the trail at 1350 meters)
Tour ends: around 3:30 pm in Meloneras promenade
